We didn’t set out to start a company.

We just wanted to book a damn flight.

But every time we traveled, it was the same mess:

• Creating another airline account (for a one-time trip)

• Copy-pasting the same info again and again

• Re-checking every detail like we were defusing a bomb

It was like Groundhog Day, but with more tabs open and less Bill Murray (unfortunately).

Honestly, the first time I had the idea to solve this pain was after flying with Iberia back in 2022 from Quito to Madrid. The booking experience was awful – slow, riddled with bugs, and unclear as to what was/wasn't included in the flight.

Just a poor experience overall.

With that Iberia flight in particular, my wife and I thought bags were included with the airfare, but during check-in, we learned that they weren't. As a result, I had to pay an additional cost for higher baggage fees at the airport due to their poor design. On top of it all, the flight attendant wasn't friendly.

From booking to checking in, Iberia left me with a very sour taste in my mouth.

You weren't looking good, Iberia.

But I thank you, Iberia.

After this, I said to myself: "There has to be a better, more standardized solution for booking flights just like shopping online."

I wrote down the idea and pondered it for years, until a light bulb went off after I played around with Shopify's ShopApp and experienced the real beauty of it.

As a frequent traveler, I was so fed up with the booking experience and set off to find a partner to help solve this pain with me:

1. can relate to the problem

2. is a frequent traveler like me

3. is technical

4. like-minded, aka "Risk Taker" because doing a startup isn't for the faint of heart!

I found my business partner, Brian, a close friend who checked all the boxes. Score!

We set out to build a smarter, faster, saner way to book airfare in February of 2024.
