We just got back from Long Beach, CA—three packed days at the APEX/FTE conference—and here’s the headline: Movmo Wallet is resonating with the airline industry.

Not only did we get validation from airline experts that we’re onto something big, but the industry leaders on stage were echoing exactly what we’ve been saying all along:

  • 👉 Air travel needs consistent, seamless, interoperable experiences.

  • 👉 Movmo Wallet delivers exactly that.

So yeah, it felt good.

Day 1: Keynotes & Serendipity

The kickoff was classic conference mode: keynotes, breakfast, lunch, and impromptu “hallway” meetings that turned into serious conversations. From the very first chat, we realized people got Movmo even though our pitch was a little rough to start.

We did get a table of blank stares when I, Kameron, approached five professionals because I saw one was on the Board at United Airlines, only to find out she's in the food and beverage side, but it was worth a shot!

Brian was starstruck when chatting with David Neeleman, CEO and Founder of Breeze Airways, Morris Air, WestJet, JetBlue Airways, and Azul Brazilian Airlines, which was pretty funny.

It happened to me at a bit with Steve Greenway, CEO of flyadeal – he's a super friendly, but intimidating guy. He stands at, I'm not sure, 6'3". Luckily, Brian stepped in and shifted focus away from my loss of thought and stutter (haha!). #teamwork

Anyways, back on topic. We didn't get “explain it again.” Just excitement and follow-up question, showing that it triggered something positive and got them thinking…

Day 2: Meetings, Awards & Momentum

By day two, it was back-to-back meetings—both scheduled and unplanned. Lunch blurred into the APEX Awards/dinner – the tacos were fire! The big takeaway? Every airline exec we talked to was already thinking about interoperability, traveler experience, and faster booking. Our pitch slotted in perfectly.

Movmo Wallet wasn’t a weird “startup idea.” It was the missing piece they’d been waiting for.

Day 3: Hitting Our Stride

On the last day, we hit our stride. The pitch got sharper. The conversations got deeper. And by the end, we’re pretty sure we’re close to landing our first LOI/MOU (stay tuned 👀).

How did we celebrate? Well, Brian had to head back home to see his family, but I had time to kill before heading to the airport so I peacefully enjoyed a steak at Ruth’s Chris followed by a sunset at Manhattan Beach with a close friend, José, who kindly picked me up and drove me to LAX. Sometimes you need to toast the little wins while chasing the big ones.

Why This Matters

The conference proved something important:

  • Travelers want simple, seamless booking.

  • Airlines want to deliver it.

  • Movmo is the bridge.

We came back from Long Beach more convinced than ever: Movmo Wallet isn’t just another travel tech tool. It’s the future of booking.
